Lexi May

Lexi May’s “official” name is GCH Wyncrest’s When You Wish Upon A Star BN FDC AXP AJP OFP BCAT CGC TKI RATS VC. She was born in 2015 and bred by Kathy Metcalfe of Wyncrest Cardigan Welsh Corgis.

Lexi May has earned AKC titles in conformation and performance events, which are recognized by letters before and after her name. In fact, she’s earned more titles than any dog I’ve owned and she’s not done yet!

The GCH at the front of her name means she has earned her Grand Championship in conformation. On her way to earning this title she took multiple bests of breed, winning against some really nice competition.
The titles at the end of her name are her performance titles. Those ending in P are her agility titles — she has earned titles in standard, jumpers, and FAST classes. The CGC title means she passed her canine good citizen test, FDC means she passed her farm dog certification, BCAT signifies that she earned a beginning lure coursing title, the TKN is her novice trick dog title, the RATS means she has her Senior title in Barn Hunt through the Barn Hunt Association, and the VC stands for Versatile Cardigan - a tile awarded by the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America.

Lexi May loves to work, but is not so high-energy that she can’t chill out at home. In fact, she is by far the snuggliest animal we’ve ever owned - when one of us sits down, she’s in our lap.
